The Standing Committee of the European glass industries was created in 1962. The mission of CPIV is to coordinate, unify and represent the views and concerns of the European Glass Industry within the EU and to advise sectors and national associations of any relevant legislative move.


Fédération Européenne du Verre d'Emballage

FEVE is the association of European manufacturers of glass packaging containers and machine-made glass tableware. The federation represents the glass container industry at the international, and especially European, level and serves as a forum for examining common questions. The federation's member companies manufacture glass bottles, jars and/or tableware items such as drinking glasses.


GlassFibreEurope

GlassFibreEurope represents the European Glass Fibre producers, APFE, in Brussels. GlassFibreEurope member companies reinforce composite applications ranging from the automotive and transportation sector to wind energy, agriculture, construction, communication, electrical and electronic, sport and leisure.

The Coalition for energy savings

The Coalition for Energy Savings brings together business, professional and civil society associations. The Coalition's purpose is to make the case for a European energy policy that places a much greater, more meaningful emphasis on energy efficiency and savings.

 

Build-Up platform on energy-efficient buildings

Build-Up platform

The BUILD UP initiative was established by the European Commission in 2009 to support EU Member States in implementing the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). The BUILD UP web portal is intended to reap the benefits of Europe's collective intelligence on energy reduction in buildings for all relevant audiences.


Future of Rural Energy in Europe

The FREE initiative aims to ensure that the needs of rural communities are fully considered in the development of energy policy. The initiative is supported by a range of organisations, united in their commitment to improving the lot and maximizing the potential of rural communities.



The European Network on Silica

NEPSI is the acronym for the resulting European Network for Silica formed by the Employee and Employer of European sectoral associations having signed the Social Dialogue 'Agreement on Workers' Health Protection Through the Good Handling and Use of Crystalline Silica and Products Containing it' on 25 April 2006, representing 15 industry sectors i.e. more than 2 million employees and a business exceeding €250 billion.

 

Sustainable Energy Europe campaign

The Sustainable Energy Europe Campaign is a European Commission initiative in the framework of the Intelligent Energy Europe programme, which aims to raise public awareness and promote sustainable energy production and use among individuals and organisations, private companies and public authorities, professional and energy agencies, industry associations and NGOs across Europe.

CEN is a major provider of European Standards and technical specifications. Through its services it provides platform for the development of European Standards and other technical specifications. These standards have a unique status since they are also national standards in each of its 31 Member countries. More than 60,000 technical experts as well as business federations, consumers and other societal interest organizations are involved in the CEN network.



International Organization for Standardization

ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards. ISO is a network of the national standards institutes of 163 countries. ISO is a non-governemental organization that forms a bridge between the public and private sectors.



Other organisations

Council of European Producers of Materials for Construction

CEPMC is a European confederation of national 'umbrella' organisations. A typical CEPMC Member federates a large number of national associations, which together, cover all kinds of construction materials and building products. CEPMC monitors European legislative, administrative and economic measures affecting the construction materials and building products industry, and ensures, whenever possible, that the industry's interests are taken into account.

European Association of Automotive Suppliers

CLEPA is the European umbrella association representing the interests and the entrepreneurial skills of the global automotive supply industry. CLEPA's aim is to promote, defend and represent the general interests of the motor equipment and parts industry internationally.

 

Eurowindoor

 EuroWindoor, the umbrella organization of the 4 European associations of fenestration and door sector, was created in January 1999 and is covering 30 national federations in Europe representing the interests  of more than 50,000 companies employing around 1 million workers in Europe.

 

 

Union Européenne des Miroitiers Vitriers

UEMV is the umbrella organisation for the European flat glass industry. UEMV members are national glass and glazing organisations from eleven European countries. The activities of the member companies cover all facets of architectural glass and glazing as well as a significant part of the automotive glazing replacement and repair market.
