Issues for Automotive and Transport Glass 

In contrast to buildings where glass plays an important environmental role in addition to its aesthetic function, glass in automobiles and other transport modes makes its contributions mostly in areas of comfort, visibility, aesthetics, safety, and security. Today, well-developed product regulations  - in addition to the advanced technologies that go into the automotive glass products themselves - allow glass to continue in its key role in transport even at today's very high speeds on the road, on rail, on water and in the air. And the ever-improving end-of-life materials recovery and recycling technologies mean that glass's contribution in this area can be made sustainably and responsibly.
