Life-Cycle Thinking

There is an increasing interest in Life Cycle Analysis as a means of guiding the EU’s environmental policy agenda. This has been raised from several sides, including by the EU High Level working group on Energy and Environment and its effects on Competiveness.

The Glass for Europe Committee have resolved to attempt to use the ‘French Government’ simplified LCA model to see if it can be used to provide generic information for both float glass used in building and in the automotive sector to support the flat glass industry in these policy areas.
