Today, flat glass* comes in many highly specialised forms intended for different products and applications. Modifications, both during and after the float process, are used to produce the main types of flat glass on the market today. * Flat glass is glass manufactured in flat sheets (float, sheet and rolled), which may be further processed (toughened, laminated, coated, etc. -- see links to the left). Excludes bottles, containers, fibreglass, rods, and tubes.
